Job Summary
Chief Marketing Officer for a $2B credit union: develop and lead the enterprise marketing strategy aligned with growth objectives, define priorities for membership growth, deposits, loan growth, and member engagement, advise executive leadership on market trends and competitive positioning, guide member acquisition, onboarding, cross-sell, and retention, align marketing with digital initiatives and product strategy, oversee internal communications, establish marketing performance frameworks (CAC, ROMI, LTV) and ROI, collaborate with BI for strengthened analytics, promote a data-driven culture, provide executive reporting, develop sponsorship and strategic partnership strategies, negotiate sponsorships, ensure activations drive engagement and brand visibility, evaluate ROI, lead and develop the marketing organization for long-term success, and provide leadership to senior marketing leaders to build a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required
- MBA preferred
- 10–15 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within financial services
- Experience leading marketing strategy for a financial institution, ideally $1B+ in assets
- Demonstrated success driving measurable growth in membership, deposits, loans, and engagement
- Strong expertise in marketing analytics, performance measurement, and ROI modeling
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets
- Public relations and media relations experience preferred
