VP, Maintenance

VP, Maintenance is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across the portfolio, developing preventative maintenance programs and asset-preservation standards, managing unit turns, vendor relationships, and safety/compliance programs. This role builds a centralized maintenance infrastructure, establishes standard operating procedures and KPIs, leads a centralized and onsite maintenance staff, and ensures cost-effective budgeting and procurement. The position requires extensive experience in multifamily maintenance leadership, strong budgeting and vendor-management skills, familiarity with EPA Type II/CPO certifications, and the ability to manage safety, quality, and compliance across properties. The role emphasizes leveraging AI tools to streamline routines (e.g., drafting communications, summarizing documents) while maintaining data handling and confidentiality. It is located in the central office with travel to various properties, and may involve lifting up to 30 pounds and working across site conditions.
