Job Summary
Role focuses on sourcing creative, hard-to-access and original investment opportunities for APAC Real Estate mandates in Japan, deploying equity capital into value-add opportunities, and managing strategy for value-add RE investments. Key duties include leveraging industry networks, leading due diligence, preparing external marketing material, financial modelling, hold/sell analyses, divestment/investment proposals and investment committee memorandums, interfacing with internal and external partners, managing leasing plans, and guiding junior investment professionals within a hybrid in-office/remote Tokyo-based team. Requires deal sourcing, asset management, and strong communication skills; experience in development management is a plus. The role is located in Tokyo with a hybrid work arrangement and reports to the Head of Japan, Real Estate, within BlackRock Japan Real Estate.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary academic qualifications
- minimum of 7 years’ experience in real estate, financial services, or investment analysis
- proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude
