Job Summary
Lead end-to-end payroll operations across the US, Canada, India, and the Philippines, ensuring consistent service delivery and governance. Develop and maintain global payroll and time-tracking policies, monitor regulatory changes, own payroll governance and risk controls, coordinate with vendors and internal partners, oversee payroll-related accounting alignment with financial reporting, manage vendor performance, and collaborate with HR, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders. Travel as needed and participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including multi-country payroll oversight (US plus at least one of India/Philippines strongly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or in lieu of degree, 6 years equivalent Payroll experience/certification
- Extensive knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Expertise in payroll controls, audit readiness, and reconciliations
- Demonstrated experience validating payroll tax filings and statutory compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and manage complex, high-risk operational processes
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, integrations, and data governance (HRIS-to-payroll-to-GL)
- Experience leading payroll transformation, standardization, and automation initiatives at scale
- Familiarity with SOX controls and regulated/financial services environments
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
- Professional certifications: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), CPA, or equivalent regional credential
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet, database and other software applications
