Job Summary
Provide strategic statistical leadership to Pfizer's Vaccine Clinical Research and Development (VCRD). Lead and inspire the VRD statistics organization (roughly 25–40 statisticians) to deliver highest-level statistical, modeling, and data-management support across phase 1–4 trials. Oversee protocols, CSRs, regulatory briefings, and regulatory interactions; serve as expert resource on vaccine statistical methodologies; drive training and development, budget planning, and resourcing. Collaborate with VRD leadership and cross-functional partners to strategize capability development, coordinate with Senior Directors and functional service providers, and advance innovative statistical approaches. This role requires a world-class leadership presence, strong communication, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, with travel as needed and extensive experience in drug/vaccine development and regulatory engagement. Relocation support may be available; on‐premise work location in the United States (Pearl River, NY or Collegeville, PA) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in statistics/biostatistics or related field required; PhD preferred
- 15+ years of experience in drug development
- 5-10 years of experience in vaccine development
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in drug development
- Capability to provide statistical leadership to cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills with internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to influence and coach teams; strategic leadership experience
- Travel willingness (15-25%)
- Experience with regulatory interactions and submissions
