Job Summary
Lead the first line control environment for commercial lending by creating procedures, overseeing control activities, and designing monitoring routines focused on credit quality drivers. Partner with second line functions and audit teams to support control testing, regulatory exams, and remediation tracking while executing risk assessments and business continuity planning. Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and validate corrective actions for policy exceptions and process breakdowns. Provide guidance to lending and underwriting teams on control execution and regulatory expectations, preparing timely reporting on control performance and credit process health to senior management.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial lending
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in banking operations

- Minimum of 8 years of experience within a regulated financial institution
- Strong knowledge of specialized, middle-market, commercial lending products
- Strong knowledge of specialized, middle-market, commercial lending processes
- Strong knowledge of applicable banking regulations
- Demonstrated applied thinking skills to adapt regulatory requirements to unique lending verticals
- Experience designing and implementing first line risk controls
- Experience designing and implementing monitoring programs
- Ability to effectively partner with business leaders
- Ability to maintain independent risk judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
