Job Summary
Lead the FP&A team with hands-on oversight and mentoring while driving budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for the board. Manage capital structure and lender relationships, ensuring credit agreement compliance and fostering strong partnerships. Execute strategic analysis and ad-hoc research to inform executive decision-making, partnering directly with the CFO on company-wide financial strategy and KPI development. Oversee process improvements and a significant data warehouse buildout while collaborating with accounting to maintain data integrity. Present financial results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the board. Based in Pittsburgh, NYC, or Stamford with a 3-4 day in-office expectation.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor's degree in business or finance
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, including direct executive and board exposure
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing financial planning and analysis processes and staff, with a hands-on approach to owning the analysis rather than just overseeing it
- Deep expertise in three-statement modeling, forecasting and long-range financial planning, with the ability to build models from scratch and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight for executive leadership
- Proven experience managing capital structure, lender relationships and credit-agreement compliance
- Strong executive presence, with experience presenting financial results, forecasts and strategic recommendations directly to executive leadership, the board and lenders
- Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking and decision-making ability
- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail; ability to work in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner
- Strong communication skills – written and oral
- High level of interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments
- Expert skills in Excel, including complex financial-modeling
- Experience in the financial services sector
- Asset & wealth management experience
Desired Qualifications
- MBA
- Experience with FP&A or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Experience within a leveraged or private-equity-backed environment
