Oversee daily accounting operations for the Accident & Health division, managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close while preparing internal financial statements. Lead premium and revenue accounting, loss and reserve accounting, and reinsurance accounting, ensuring accurate recording across policy periods, jurisdictions, and distribution channels. Design, maintain, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting, including segregation of duties and approval workflows for premium accounting, claims disbursements, and journal entries. Support external financial statement audits, SOX-related work, and insurance department examinations by preparing schedules and resolving control gaps. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital while overseeing bank reconciliations and treasury processes. Train team members on accounting policies and concepts, drive performance excellence through goal-setting and feedback, and model the company's core competencies to foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
