Job Summary
The VP, Finance (Mat Leave Coverage) will provide strategic financial leadership for BC Parks Foundation for a defined term, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial data recording and reporting, and enhancing charitable compliance across fund accounting, earned revenue, and other regulatory areas. Responsibilities include leading the finance team, driving process automation and optimization of the Acumatica ERP, delivering timely financial reporting to the CEO/Board and funders, and supporting risk management, legal considerations, and investment oversight. The role is full-time, temporary, hybrid-based in Vancouver, BC, from Sept 1 to Oct 31, 2027, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with senior leadership to sustain organizational performance and governance.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience
- at least 2 years in a senior finance leadership role
- experience in the charitable or non-profit sector
- familiarity with Canadian charitable regulations, fund accounting, earned revenue treatment and funder reporting requirements
- experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Acumatica is a strong asset
