Job Summary
Build and lead the engineering organization behind the AI platform, owning delivery from architecture through production. Translate product requirements into pragmatic technical designs and execution plans while raising standards for quality, reliability, security, and engineering excellence. Maintain hands-on involvement in architecture, critical implementation, and technical leadership to ensure scalable, maintainable software. Manage the transition of products from prototype to production while scaling teams, processes, and technical foundations from early-stage through growth. Apply modern AI coding tools to review and quality-control generated code, making high-quality decisions under ambiguity. Join a small, senior team of physicians, AI researchers, and engineers working on oncology care solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building and leading engineering teams in a fast-moving product company
- A track record of taking products from prototype to production while scaling engineering teams, processes and technical foundations from early-stage through growth
- Strong engineering judgement across modern Python-based backend systems, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and AI-enabled products
- Experience building and operating LLM or agentic systems in production, including evaluation, guardrails and failure handling
- You use modern AI coding tools as a core part of your engineering workflow and can effectively review and quality-control AI-generated code
- Evidence of making fast, high-quality decisions under ambiguity, including deciding what not to build
- Excellent written and spoken English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, FHIR, regulated or safety-critical software, or enterprise software deployments
