Job Summary
Lead credit for a portfolio of clients in the EMERGING MARKETS region, including corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign-related entities. Responsibilities include credit exposure monitoring, due diligence, credit analysis, and financial modelling; drive preparation of credit memos and recommendations on structure and risk; lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of loan documentation, derivatives, and treasury facilities; make sound credit recommendations and own the credit-approval decision; balance commercial solutions with risk controls; track market and industry developments affecting clients; build relationships with senior stakeholders; lead and coach a portfolio team of Analysts and Associates; conduct client meetings and due diligence sessions; require strong analytical, product, and communication skills and a minimum of six years’ experience.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience (at least 6 years) in roles with relevant skills for this position
- Strong analytical and credit skills/judgment (qualitative and quantitative)
- Product knowledge of lending, derivative and treasury services products and documentation
- Established team player with project management skills and ability to take end-to-end ownership
- Ability to identify key issues relating to clients, industries, and transaction structures
- Credibility and trust with clients, internal partners, and credit officers; ability to partner with origination teams and other stakeholders
- Coaching and development ability for junior colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
- Undergraduate degree or postgraduate qualifications in accounting, finance, or a quantitative discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite tools
