Job Summary
Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate clients by reviewing statements, business models, and industry trends. Prepare detailed credit proposals and risk assessment reports outlining findings, risk factors, and mitigation strategies. Evaluate and recommend appropriate credit limits, collateral requirements, and loan structures for various facilities. Monitor existing credit portfolios for potential deterioration and recommend timely remedial actions. Engage regularly with clients, relationship managers, and internal stakeholders to gather information and provide credit expertise. Participate in credit committee meetings to present analysis and defend recommendations. Mentor junior credit analysts and contribute to the development of credit policies, procedures, and risk models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, preferably within a reputable financial institution or banking environment
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and credit risk assessment methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of various industries and their respective credit drivers, particularly within the Chinese market
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive credit reports and presentations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is essential
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- High level of integrity and strong ethical standards
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred
