Job Summary
Develop and execute enterprise safety strategy aligned with business growth and operational priorities across all locations and business units. Establish a consistent safety operating model, including standards, processes, metrics, and accountability systems, while assessing current performance to identify critical risks and create improvement roadmaps. Design, implement, and continuously improve safety programs covering policies, field standards, incident reporting, training, and OSHA compliance. Partner with operational leaders to embed safety into daily decision-making, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis. Support M&A integration by assessing safety maturity and integrating acquired companies into Zeus standards. Track leading and lagging indicators to provide visibility into performance and risk trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Business, Operations, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive safety leadership experience
- Experience within field service, construction, fire and security, electrical, HVAC, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, risk mitigation practices, and workplace safety standards
- Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise safety programs that improve performance, reduce risk, and drive cultural change
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a multi-location environment
- Strong communication, coaching, and training skills
- Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes
- Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and initiatives while maintaining focus on critical safety objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Experience developing safety metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to support leadership decision-making
- Ability to build strong partnerships and influence across all levels of an organization, including executive leadership, operations teams, and field employees
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday
- Flexibility required to support business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Occasional travel up to 25%
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and navigate job site environments for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional safety certification
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or high-growth organizations
