Job Summary
VP, Controllership - Corporate & Investment Banking oversees accounting processes and large projects within the accounting function, provides subject matter guidance to business lines, leads monthly close and reporting, ensures regulatory compliance, drives automation and IT transformation within Controllership, collaborates cross-functionally to standardize new accounting requirements, and mentors junior professionals while communicating effectively with senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience/training
- 6+ years in accounting, finance, business administration or related field within banking/financial services (required)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards
- Ability to lead, influence and direct peers, subordinates and management
- Ability to make effective decisions, communicate clearly, and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Capability to coach and delegate to junior professionals as needed
- Experience interfacing with senior management and multiple organizational levels
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
