Job Summary
Lead and scale Replit's communications function, developing a compelling corporate narrative for AI, developer tools, and enterprise markets. Drive execution across media relations, analyst relations, executive visibility, and crisis management while partnering with the CEO and cross-functional leaders to shape positioning. Build and manage agency teams, oversee internal communications, and support global awareness initiatives focused on Europe and Asia. Track the AI and software landscape to identify strategic opportunities and translate complex technical concepts into clear stories. Prepare executives for high-stakes media appearances and events, fostering a culture of speed, clarity, and creativity within the team.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of experience in communications, PR, media, corporate affairs, or related fields for Director level
- 15+ years of experience in communications, PR, media, corporate affairs, or related fields for VP level
- Experience building, scaling, or significantly expanding a communications function at a fast-growing technology company
- Proven experience working directly with founders, CEOs, executives, and senior cross-functional leaders
- Strong relationships with technology, business, enterprise, AI, developer, and/or policy media
- Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional communications programs on a global level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of the AI landscape and how AI is changing software development, enterprise productivity, and the future of work
- Experience across several communications disciplines, including external communications, internal communications, media relations, executive communications, crisis communications, and strategic messaging
- Ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, compelling stories without losing substance
- Cross-functional leadership experience
- Ability to see the big picture while operating in execution mode
- Strong judgment in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
- A creative, resourceful, 'do more with less' mindset
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in-office requirement
