Job Summary
VP, Client Strategy and Success is a senior agency leader responsible for retention, growth, and profitability of the client portfolio. Focuses on leadership, strategy, and accountability—raising the client/agency relationship to consultative partner status. Owns client retention and organic growth, forecasts client fee income, maintains staffing models, develops senior-level client relationships, mentors Client Strategy and Success Supervisors, partners with clients to drive annual marketing planning, and provides strategic guidance through data-driven insights. Leads a Client Strategy and Success team, ensures alignment of scopes, pricing, and delivery with agency standards, and collaborates across Client Strategy, Creative, Media, Performance, Technology, and Production. Requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep knowledge of agency financials, pricing, and resource utilization; expects 12-36 month road mapping for retained and project-based engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive agency experience, including senior leadership roles
- Proven success driving client growth, retention, and profitability
- Strong understanding of agency financial models, pricing strategies, and resource utilization
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex teams through influence and governance
- Exceptional communication, judgment, and leadership skills
