Job Summary
As Vice President for Card Portfolio Risk Strategy, you will design, manage, and oversee portfolio risk strategies within the Card Credit Decisioning Unit (CDU) to balance risk and growth for Chase Card Services. You will partner with Product GMs, Finance, and second-line Credit Risk to define and execute risk strategies, assess new expansion opportunities, develop credit models and metrics, and lead performance reporting to senior leadership. The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, deep analytical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and talent development to staff the CDU, with responsibility for sustaining a strong controls environment and influencing credit policy across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required
- 7+ years of relevant experience in direct to consumer lending, originations, and/or retail credit experience at a complex large-scale financial services business
- Ability to evaluate and manage credit risk effectively; Strong judgement in approving or recommending credit policy
- Exceptional quantitative and qualitative finance and analytical skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution skills; insight and ability to proactively identify opportunities to innovate and improve the business
- Proven experience in collaborating across teams and lines of business within large organizations
- Experience with executive-level presentation materials and briefings
- A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
