Job Summary
The VP, Cardiovascular Medicine is a key clinical executive responsible for leading cardiology- and vascular-related utilization management, quality improvement, and clinical operations across Evolent’s value-based care platform. This role includes serving as a strategic liaison between clinical teams and clients, engaging and inspiring teams around mission and impact, and ensuring high-quality adjudication of cardiology decisions. The candidate must demonstrate clinical expertise and the ability to lead national cardiovascular programs, with 7+ years managing teams and deep regulatory expertise in healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO board certification in cardiology or vascular surgery
- Active / unrestricted Medical License in one or more states
- Board Certified (ABMS or Specialty Board)
- 7+ years managing clinical / physician teams
- 5+ clinical practice experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in health plan operations and/or managed care
- Skilled communicator with executive presence and stakeholder engagement experience
- Growth mindset willing to test new interventions alongside other teams and clients
