Job Summary
Own the Business Systems Portfolio, including Salesforce, Atlassian, Zendesk, and Microsoft 365, while defining integration architecture to ensure clean data flows and operational reliability. Build and own the internal platform engineering capability by architecting automation workflows using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and agentic AI tools like MCP Servers and AWS Bedrock. Drive AI and productivity tooling adoption across the enterprise, establishing governance frameworks for platforms such as Claude and Copilot while tracking ROI. Manage collaboration platforms like Slack and Microsoft 365, enforce identity and access management standards, and oversee end-user technology operations including device management and service desk delivery. Lead a high-performing team to transition the function from reactive IT support to a proactive platform engineering organization, delivering ExCo-ready reporting on portfolio health and risk.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading an enterprise technology or business systems function in a fast-moving, commercially driven organization
- Direct accountability for both strategic platforms and operational IT delivery
- Engineering background with hands-on experience building things
- Deep familiarity with Salesforce, Atlassian, Zendesk, Microsoft 365, Slack, and AI productivity platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into technology decisions
- Ability to translate technology investments into measurable business outcomes
- Strong commercial instincts
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders at senior level, including Finance, HR, Sales, and Operations leaders
- Solid grounding in identity and access management, endpoint management, and IT operations governance
- Ability to set standards and hold a team accountable
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with API-layer integration
- Ability to work in code, review it, and build teams that ship it
- Clear, direct communication skills
- Ability to present to ExCo and board audiences
- Ability to focus on business impact
- Hands-on experience deploying AI and automation tooling in production
- Experience with agentic workflows, MCP Servers, or API-integrated AI platforms
- Grounded view of where generative AI adds measurable value in an enterprise context
- Governance instincts to deploy AI responsibly
- Experience operating within a SOX-compliant or similarly governed environment
