Job Summary
Lead strategic growth initiatives at the intersection of intellectual property, emerging technologies, and global licensing programs. Identify and develop new patent pool opportunities (AI, memory, data center) and structure licensing programs with market sizing, revenue modeling, and stakeholder outreach. Oversee technical diligence and translate technical concepts into commercially actionable licensing strategies. Represent Via Licensing at industry conferences, standards bodies, and executive forums; build relationships with patent owners and ecosystem players; collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale programs and integrate AI-assisted licensing models. Drive Via’s strategic roadmap for expansion into new verticals and licensing models in AI and semiconductor technologies. Requires 12+ years in business development/licensing/technology strategy; deep familiarity with IP licensing and patent pools; strong technical understanding in semiconductors or AI/data-center domains; executive communication and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in business development, licensing, technology strategy, or related fields
- Deep familiarity with intellectual property licensing and patent pools (e.g., SEPs, FRAND)
- Strong technical understanding in semiconductor technologies (DRAM, NAND, HBM, controllers) OR AI/ML systems OR data center architecture/infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations
- Executive presence with strong communication and presentation skills
