VP, BSA & OFAC Data Analytics

Job Summary

Collect, clean, and validate data from SQL databases and web analytics to ensure accuracy for BSA and OFAC risk analysis. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and anomalies, then develop datasets and models to support ongoing reporting and automated dashboards in Tableau or Power BI. Translate complex findings into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders, while assisting with A/B testing and monitoring strategy development. Maintain model documentation for transaction monitoring scenarios and sanctions screening models, coordinating validation activities and supporting remediation efforts from audits or regulatory examinations. Evaluate alert volumes and monitoring performance to identify enhancement opportunities, ensuring all systems remain aligned with regulatory expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in financial crimes
  • Either Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification, Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), or other applicable industry designation
  • A minimum of 6 years of direct professional experience in a data analyst or similar position
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with spreadsheets (advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions, pivot tables)
  • Foundational knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, distributions)
  • Experience with a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python with Pandas, R)
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing concepts
  • High School diploma or equivalent
