Job Summary
VP, Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Los Angeles, CA branch by retaining banking relationships and developing new business through loans and deposits, while supervising staff and ensuring compliance, profitability, and quality client service. The role includes setting and driving annual and weekly plans for branch sales and service, overseeing staff training on product knowledge and sales techniques, coordinating with marketing on campaigns, conducting regular business development calls, managing budgets and branch audits, and representing the bank in the community. Requires strong leadership, strategic planning, relationship-building, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to lead a team to achieve financial objectives; bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in business or finance
- 3-5 years banking experience including branch management (2 years preferred)
- Good knowledge of commercial lending products
- Thorough knowledge of federal/state and IRS regulations
- Leadership and people-management abilities
- Strong sales and sales management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to conduct business development calls and build client relationships
- Bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
