Job Summary
Lead the Audit Services team by creating and implementing risk-based audit programs, overseeing internal control systems across credit, financial services, and operations, and evaluating compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Direct execution of annual planning, risk assessments, and management action plans while serving as the primary contact for external regulators including the Farm Credit Administration and AgriBank. Provide auditing guidance to the Audit & Finance Committee and Board of Directors on organizational effectiveness, emerging risks, and remedial actions, while managing a high-performing team and maintaining audit independence. Report performance to standards and facilitate external audits for financial statements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- Minimum of 12 years of internal audit required with experience auditing financial institutions
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership and management experience, with recent experience in supervising the audit function
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
- Compeer is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time
Desired Qualifications
- Credit review experience preferred
- Audit designations (e.g. CPA, CIA), preferred
- Experience in the agriculture industry preferred
