Job Summary
Proactively originate and pursue acquisition, financing, and production opportunities across the global film landscape. Build deep relationships with filmmakers, agents, managers, and financiers to secure early access to projects. Rigorously assess scripts, packages, and completed films with strong judgment on audience, positioning, and commercial potential. Evaluate key deal components including attachments, budget, financing structures, and comparable performance to determine strategic value. Maintain real-time awareness of market activity, packaging trends, and bidding dynamics to synthesize creative evaluation and market intelligence into actionable recommendations. Present opportunities and advocate positions directly with senior leadership to drive sourcing, evaluation, and deal execution for the Worldwide Acquisitions business.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in acquisitions, development, production, representation, or related entertainment or digital roles
- Demonstrated ability to originate, champion, and close high-quality projects or talent
- Strong creative instincts combined with rigorous commercial judgment
- Deep understanding of global film markets, audience behavior, and the competitive landscape
- Established network across filmmakers, agents, managers, producers, and financiers
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously
- Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a dynamic environment
