Job Summary
Engage with the public in friendly, respectful manner to deliver campaign messages and collect valid voter registration forms. Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills and strictly follow safety protocols, including PPE and daily health guidelines. Team Leaders manage small field groups by checking in periodically, debriefing daily, and ensuring all materials are available for safe and successful canvassing. Assist directors with training and administrative work. Shifts run weekdays and weekends with possibilities for full-time or part-time work.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must present original, and unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents to complete the I-9 form verification
- Must be able to engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- Must be able to deliver a compelling campaign message
- Must be able to collect complete, and valid voter registration forms
- Must be willing and excited to speak with everyone
- Must be a hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
- Must be open to new challenges
- Must be interested in building their campaign skills
- Must be culturally competent
- Must be able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
- Must be able to check in with canvassers periodically throughout the day
- Must be able to debrief with canvassers at the end of the day
- Must be able to ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be safe and successful
- Must be able to assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
- Must strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols
- Must comply with daily health and safety guidelines
- Must be able to use PPE
