Job Summary

Assist with voter registration and absentee ballot processing for City elections by sorting mail applications, checking the city clerk email, and using the Qualified Voter File software to assign numbers and prepare envelopes. Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, filing, and data entry, while potentially supporting the election inspector recruiter and trainer. Work part-time, 12 hours weekly Monday through Friday between 9am and 5:30pm, starting approximately September 7th, 2026, at City Hall or designated secondary locations. High school diploma or GED required; Michigan Qualified Voter File knowledge and prior election experience are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Incumbent must be at least 18 years of age
  • must be available at least 12 hours per week Monday - Friday between 9am and 5:30pm

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Michigan Qualified Voter File (QVF)
  • At least one year of prior election experience, including election inspector experience, but preferably election administration experience
