Volunteer Sexual Assault Counselor

Job Summary
Provide immediate support and crisis intervention via our 24-hour hotline, offering individual and group counseling to survivors navigating their healing journey. Accompany clients to hospitals for SANE exams, assist with legal processes and safety planning, and connect survivors with tailored referrals. Deliver counseling in English, Spanish, or Portuguese while engaging in community outreach to raise awareness. Maintain sobriety for at least one year, pass a criminal background check, and attend all 40 hours of pre-service training. Complete monthly supervision meetings and commit to a year of volunteering. Hold a dependable cellular device and vehicle to respond to requests within one hour.
