Job Summary
Develop and implement broad-based recruitment strategies to attract and identify Red Cross volunteers for regional mission-critical activities. Conduct general and targeted outreach through resource pools, networks, and digital media to obtain applicants, while maintaining accurate records of leads and producing status reports. Identify and cultivate relationships with key agencies and populations to build a robust candidate pipeline, and assist in screening, referrals, and placement of prospective volunteers. Evaluate and modify engagement strategies based on lessons learned, provide coaching to volunteer teams, and review satisfaction data to develop retention tactics. Conduct thorough volunteer needs assessments, monitor usage through department collaboration, and support the execution of the Event-Based Volunteer plan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Ability to work on a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple and continuously evolving priorities effectively
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a small cubicle
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Regularly required to sit
- Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel
