Job Summary
Volunteer Services Coordinator administers and supports the school’s volunteer program, including recruiting volunteers, initiating training and supervision, recognizing volunteers, and coordinating with school staff to ensure effective collaboration and positive relationships. Responsibilities include leading and directing the volunteer program within the building, coordinating with school administration, scheduling volunteers, maintaining volunteer records, ensuring timely communications via email/voicemail, reporting on the program, and participating in district meetings and trainings. Requires building-based work, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to manage data and records.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Hands on volunteer experience
- Computer skills and knowledge
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions
- Must be physically working in the building
