Job Summary
Volunteer provides time, talent and leadership to carry out the mission of Family & Community Services. Responsibilities may include receptionist duties (answering phones, stuffing envelopes, writing thank you letters), preparing and/or serving meals, cleaning kitchens, stocking food pantries, painting shelters, assisting with donations and special events, representing the agency at events, mentoring a child, entertaining (piano), teaching a craft/skill, and teaching financial literacy. Requires ability to provide regular coverage for assignments, work with diverse individuals, and meet agency and regulatory requirements. Must be able to work effectively as a team member or independently; customer service experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid Ohio driver’s license are expected, along with the ability to satisfy applicable background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Ability to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Customer service experience (paid or volunteer)
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals
- Work as an effective team member
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
- Complies with agency policies and procedures and applicable regulations
