Job Summary
Volunteers will assist Safe Horizon staff by performing a variety of tasks such as administrative and clerical duties, including answering telephones, filing, photocopying, and sorting mail. Essential skills include strong interpersonal abilities to communicate with staff and clients, flexibility in task management, and the capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to give time, interest and energy to fulfill goals of the program
- Willingness to work in an environment where clients may be in distress
- Ability to work both independently and as part of the team
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of tasks
- Ability to work with a diverse staff and client population
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills
