Job Summary
Volunteer/Ambassador creates a safe, positive environment for participants by assisting with camper drop-off/pick-up and supporting staff with specialized program activities; will provide transportation for international staff to/from the airport and during local trips. Requires completion of application, references, background screening, and training, with flexible weekday/weekend hours. Must be at least 18 to participate; drivers must have a valid license and insurance. Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, effective communication, and adherence to youth protection policies while collaborating with staff and volunteers to ensure a meaningful experience for participants.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Completion of the application and submission of at least 4 references
- Successful completion of the YMCA background screening
- Completion of personnel paperwork and required training
- Commitment to attendance for a specified time period
- Age requirement: must be at least 18 years old (Volunteer role)
- Driver eligibility: valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability coverage
