Job Summary
Develop and implement strategies to recruit qualified volunteers by building partnerships with schools, colleges, businesses, and community groups. Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and networking events while collaborating with grants and operations to promote initiatives through social media and newsletters. Review volunteer applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate orientation sessions to ensure compliance with training and safety protocols. Match volunteers with opportunities based on their interests and skills, develop schedules in collaboration with department managers, and provide coaching to address concerns and resolve issues professionally. Work closely with Human Resources and program leadership to assess needs and support organizational initiatives. Occasional evening or weekend work for events and local travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience coordinating volunteers, community outreach, customer service, human resources, or program coordination
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift to 40-50 pounds occasionally
- Occasional evening or weekend work for volunteer events or community outreach activities
- Local travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or community-based organization is preferred
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations and community engagement strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
