Job Summary
Support the care team in offices through light data entry, assembling packets, and sending cards to family members. Organize special memories for patients by sewing memory bears or blankets. Visit patients to offer companionship, read, play games, or listen to caregivers. Share the love of a certified therapy pet to provide emotional support. Use musical gifts to brighten patients' days and comfort healthcare staff. Connect with fellow veterans to provide companionship and participate in meaningful ceremonies. Opportunities exist throughout the Marlborough area, including Athol, Ayer, Amesbury, Framingham, Gardner, Haverhill, Westfield, Westborough, and Worcester. No compensation is provided for volunteer time.
Required Qualifications
- A heart for serving others and an appreciation for the hospice mission
- Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and deep respect for individuals and their unique journeys
- Must be able to pass background check requirements
