Job Summary
Greet patients and visitors, assist with wayfinding, and serve at information desks or waiting rooms. Deliver non-clinical items such as flowers, mail, or comfort supplies, and transport patients by wheelchair as assigned and trained. Provide companionship and emotional support, assist departments with clerical or administrative tasks, and support hospital-sponsored events. Communicate concerns to appropriate staff while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Must be at least 18 years old, complete screenings and training, and adhere to hospital policies.

- Professional appearance and conduct

- Ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to complete screenings and training
- Support the mission and values of MCCH
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Do not provide medical advice or care
- Represent MCCH positively in the community
- Completion of MCCH Volunteer Orientation
- Department-specific training
- Annual compliance training
- Ongoing adherence to hospital policies
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to push wheelchairs or carts if assigned
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment
