Job Summary
Volunteer at Gaylord Hospital; complete application and provide two references; interview and health screenings will be discussed post-interview; requires compliance with background checks, health screenings, immunity verification (MMR/Varicella) and flu vaccination verification; minimum commitment of 3 hours per volunteer day and 60 hours annually (30 hours for school requirements); on-site volunteer position with orientation and specialized training; must adhere to dress code and hospital/volunteer guidelines; reliability and punctuality required; opportunities vary and assignments may be limited if absent for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Complete volunteer application and provide two references (not an employee of Gaylord or a family member)
- Pass health screening and background checks (federal and state)
- Documentation of PPD testing within past 12 months
- Sign physician statement of ability to volunteer
- Immunization/ immunity verification if born after 1957 (MMR and Varicella) with health screen form signed by health care provider
- Influenza vaccination verification during flu season unless exempt for health or religious reasons
- Agree to minimum volunteer commitments (3 hours per volunteer day and 60 hours annually; 30 hours if volunteering to fulfill school requirements)
- Attend mandatory orientation and specialized training as applicable
- Adhere to hospital and volunteer services rules and guidelines
- Ability to arrive on time and provide notice if unable to work
- Assignments may be unavailable if an absence exceeds four weeks
