Volunteer/Friendly Visitor - Hospice Patient

Provide in-home, inpatient, and long-term care facility support to Rainbow Hospice patients and families through respite, friendly visits, and essential services like errands and light housekeeping. Offer emotional support, companionship, and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Assist the team by providing input to the plan of care and participate in bereavement follow-ups. Document volunteer time and visit activities accurately, maintain open communication with the coordinator, and adhere to all policies and mandatory annual education. Maintain confidentiality and assist in training new volunteers.
