Volunteer & Food Drive Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate volunteer sessions, maintain scheduling records through CERVIS, and ensure the Volunteer Center and pantry remain stocked, organized, and safe for shifts. Lead volunteers at distribution sites and special events while managing food drive logistics with warehouse and transportation teams. Cultivate community food drive partnerships, onboard new partners, and track donor information and inventory. Monitor environmental conditions, enforce food safety protocols, and communicate supply needs to leadership. Work flexible evening and weekend schedules driving a vehicle and operating pallet jacks. Requires high school education, driving record, and familiarity with ServSafe guidelines.
Required Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work with a broad cross section of individuals
- Ability to lead individuals and groups of varying size, ages, demographics and restrictions
- Ability to work flexible schedule that includes evening and weekends
- Computer aptitude and basic knowledge required
- Dedication to the Food Bank mission with concern for the issues of hunger and poverty and their solutions
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking
- High School Education or GED
- Full visual capability, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Access to vehicle and a good driving record
- Familiarity with ServSafe guidelines
- Basic First Aid knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products
- Familiarity with CERVIS volunteer software
- Ability to drive a vehicle and operate (or train to operate) manual/electric pallet jacks
