Job Summary
Articulate United Way of Palm Beach County's mission to inspire community action and develop meaningful volunteer opportunities that match corporate groups and individuals to service projects. Recruit volunteers and cultivate new engagement channels while managing the volunteer database to track metrics on recruitment, referrals, and hours. Coordinate special projects including food and toy drives, manage administrative tasks like supply purchasing, and represent the organization at community events with periodic evening and weekend availability. Support disaster response efforts as assigned and assist with other duties supporting the department's goals.
Required Qualifications
- Two+ years of relevant experience
- Volunteer coordination experience
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service to partner agencies, volunteers, staff, and community members
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify and develop new opportunities that increase United Way of Palm Beach County's impact and meet evolving community needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer software and systems
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Vehicle to transport materials, supplies and items
- Ability to travel locally to events and meetings
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work independently when necessary
- Must be able to work in a cubicle office space
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with web-based volunteer or donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, Galaxy Digital)
