Volunteer Coordinator

Job Summary

Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment and retention strategy, creating role descriptions and conducting interviews, background checks, and training. Assign volunteers to appropriate roles based on their skills and interests, while maintaining a database for tracking hours and service areas. Conduct rounding with volunteers to discuss customer needs, department programs, and volunteer well-being, then supervise and evaluate their performance. Counsel individual volunteers as needed and manage the volunteer recognition program. Ensure completion of federal, state, and health care regulatory requirements and reporting. Develop and maintain partnerships with community groups, attend events to build relationships, and prepare reports for leadership. This in-office role requires occasional remote work and a valid Washington State Driver's License.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 2 or more years' experience in a field such as social work, counseling, education, psychology, or equivalent experience
  • May require a valid Washington State Driver's License
