Job Summary
Plan, develop, and coordinate volunteer activities for the New Braunfels Corps; recruit, screen, train, and place volunteers to ensure adequate staff support for program needs; build relationships with high-level volunteers and organizations to develop revenue- and in-kind-generating programs; prepare records and reports; plan annual volunteer appreciation events and ongoing recognition; drive non-DOT vans/trucks to collect and deliver gifts to the Christmas warehouse; coordinate scheduling and routing for pickups; maintain up-to-date volunteer records and communicate with various departments (social services, shelter services) to meet volunteer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university related in Business Administration, Non-Profit Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Two to three years progressively responsible experience overseeing special events and/or volunteer-related activities or Any equivalent combinations of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
