Job Summary
Oversee the Volunteer Program by developing goals, recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers while managing the CRM system and conducting program evaluations. Lead volunteer onboarding, communication efforts, and recognition activities, and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and corporate entities. Develop systems for program assignments, create activity calendars, and ensure compliance with funding organization data requirements. Facilitate event planning, distribute satisfaction surveys, and represent the organization at off-site engagements. Collaborate with staff to enhance service delivery and maintain current knowledge of volunteerism trends. Work 40 hours per week, including Saturdays and Sundays, in an office setting with occasional community meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Three years of experience in volunteer program administration, or comparable experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience presenting to individuals and groups
- The ability to work 40 hours per week, with possible extended working hours during any particular day – including working many Saturdays and Sundays
- Proficiency in Windows, Outlook/Email, internet, databased management, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Skill in analyzing and compiling data and preparing reports and presentations
- Ability to establish, build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with Development Team, other agency staff, diverse populations and various external publics
- Ability to work independently, be organized and detail-oriented
- Effective communicator with the ability to speak, listen and write in a clear and thorough manner using proper English, effective communication tools and effective techniques
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and talk and hear
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
Desired Qualifications
- Event planning experience preferred
- Knowledge of the areas of substance abuse, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders helpful
