Job Summary
Supervise volunteers, coordinate interviews, and screen candidates based on strengths and hospital needs. Develop program goals, maintain orientation programs, and monitor quality improvement to enhance service. Act as a liaison between hospital departments and volunteers, assisting with weekend Guest House referrals and assuring proper documentation. Counsel volunteers, promote courtesy and service, and solve problems as assigned by leadership. Participate in National Volunteer Week activities and recognition celebrations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a position that had exposure to a variety of customers
- Discretion and good judgment in order to screen volunteers, telephone calls, and relay confidential information
- Analytical thinking, combined with creativity, in order to assist in the improvement of existing programs and the development of new volunteer placements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience and/or training in a volunteer organization preferred
- Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including personal computers
