Job Summary
Volunteer Coach for all sports in Indianola, IA for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves coaching student-athletes in game strategies and techniques, maintaining discipline and morale, assisting the head coach with instruction, supervising during practices and competitions, planning conditioning programs, and collaborating with staff and volunteers to support a positive athletic environment. Requires on-site work, knowledge of athletic policies, ability to model appropriate conduct, and effective communication with students, parents, and media/booster groups. Prior coaching experience is preferred; current Iowa coaching authorization and background check are required.
Required Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Current coaching authorization through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
- Bachelor’s degree is desired.
- Criminal Fingerprint/Background Check
- Maintaining required teaching certification
