Volunteer as Friendly Visitor/Companion - The Parc (Hospice Patient)

Provide respite, companionship, and essential services such as errands and light housekeeping to Rainbow Hospice patients in-home, at the Inpatient Unit, or in Long Term Care Facilities. Offer emotional support and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Assist with input to the plan of care, document visit activity accurately, and maintain open communication with the volunteer coordinator. Participate in bereavement follow-ups, complete mandatory annual education, and adhere to all policies and health requirements. Train new volunteers as appropriate and maintain confidentiality at all times.
