Volunteer as Companion/Friendly Visitor - Hospice Patient Support

Provide respite, friendly visits, and essential services such as errands or light housekeeping to patients in-home, at the Inpatient Unit, or in Long Term Care Facilities. Offer emotional support, companionship, and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Assist with input to the plan of care, document volunteer time and visit activities accurately, and maintain open communication by reporting regularly to the coordinator. Participate in bereavement follow-ups, complete mandatory annual education, and assist in training new volunteers. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies.
