Volunteer as Companion/Friendly Visitor - Hospice Patient Support

Provide respite, companionship, and essential services such as errands or light housekeeping to patients in homes, inpatient units, or long-term care facilities. Offer emotional support and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Assist with care planning, document visit activities accurately, and maintain regular communication with the volunteer coordinator. Participate in bereavement follow-ups, complete mandatory annual education, and assist in training new volunteers. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all Rainbow Hospice policies and procedures.
