Volunteer as Companion/Friendly Visitor - Hospice Patient Support

Provide respite, companionship, and essential services like errands or light housekeeping to patients in-home, at the Inpatient Unit, or in Long Term Care Facilities. Offer emotional support and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team to assist with care plans. Document visit activities accurately and report regularly to the coordinator, participating in bereavement follow-ups and mandatory annual education. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies while assisting in training new volunteers.
