Volunteer as Companion/Friendly Visitor - Home Hospice Patient Support

Provide respite, friendly visits, and essential services such as errands, shopping, and light housekeeping to patients in-home, at the Inpatient Unit, or in Long Term Care Facilities. Offer emotional support, companionship, and supportive listening while serving as an integral member of the hospice interdisciplinary team. Assist the team by providing input to the plan of care and participate in bereavement follow-ups. Document volunteer time and visit activities accurately, maintain open communication with the coordinator, and adhere to all policies and mandatory education requirements. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
