Job Summary
Conduct volunteer service as part of the unpaid Mountaineer Program staff, working six days with one full day off per cycle. Provide proof of required credentials for activity-based roles such as aerial work, range and target, or lifeguarding before arrival, as training is not provided. Fulfill all responsibilities in the volunteer agreement and maintain a valid credential or certificate where applicable. Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record and adhere to lifting limits of 50lbs for activity positions or 25lbs for non-activity roles. Receive meals, lodging in staff wall tents, and a staff shirt during the stay. Maintain high emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment while connecting with diverse age groups.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Current or can become a registered member of Scouting America
- Minimum 6 days of service
- U.S. citizen
- Fulfill all responsibilities contained in the volunteer agreement and to the area supervisor
- Provide valid credential or certificate of training (if applicable)
- Activity based volunteer positions must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Non-activity-based volunteer positions require lifting up to 25lbs
